Staff

  1. All staff are police checked.
  2. The Leader holds her 'Early Years Foundation Degree. She is also the SENCo* for our setting.*(Special Educational Nedds Co-Ordinator).
  3. The Deputy holds a level 3 in CCLD (Child Care, Learning and Development) She is currently working to her level 4.
  4. The  2 Senior Assistants hold a level 3 in CCLD
  5. 6 Junior assistants have or are working towards a level 3 in CCLD
  6. All paid staff hold current first aid certificates and have attended child protection courses.
  7. Staff attend other training courses as and when needed.
  8. Certificates and qualifications are displayed within the setting.

Ratios

Child adult ratios are strictly adhered to.  They are as follows:

  1. All 2 years olds:  1 adult to 4 children
  2. All 3 & 4 year olds:  1 adult to 8 children
  3. NB.  We have a minimum of 4 staff each session

Students

From time to time we have students in our setting on placement.  Long term placements are police checked; short term placements are not.  Students are never left in sole charge of children and always work under the supervision of a senior member of staff.
